The RM Booster meeting for September 2010 will be held on WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1 at 7 P.M., in the RM Cafeteria. Parents of freshmen or incoming students are especially welcome. |

The Boosters have "tipped off" their 2010 - 2011 banner drive. Advertise your company with an eye-catching banner (displayed at RM's Roy Lester Stadium) and benefit your local high-school athletics. Provide an electronic logo and it will appear on the Sponsor page of this site. To have banners ready for the exciting fall season, we need to get started NOW! If you are looking for a place to volunteer, we have lots of opportunities! Consider helping in our membership and recruiting committee, concessions committee, merchandise committee, golf tournament committee ... - OR - come to a Booster meeting and suggest something new! It is never too late to become involved in the RM community. Parents of new students and freshmen are especially welcome!
RM Booster Club Accomplishments 2009 - 2010
Ever wonder what the RM Booster Club does all year? Take a look at some of the things we have done!
- Purchased team equipment and supplies for coaches that MCPS does not provide or fund
- Paid for athletic awards (letters, class numbers and certificates)
- Organized the retrieval, refurbishment, and installation of the RM Rocket in the stadium
- Helped fund the baseball and softball scoreboards being installed on the fields
- Helped fund new flagpoles in Roy Lester Stadium
- Staffed the outdoor concession stand for fall and spring sports
- Provided teams and other school groups the opportunity to staff concessions and make a portion of the profits for their organizations
- Provided team and action photos along with RM special event photos through "Eye on the Ball"
- Organized and staffed pot-luck dinners for fall, winter, and spring sports teams and parents
- Provided and served refreshments for sports awards ceremonies
- Introduced and sold a new line of spirit-wear to RM students, parents, alumni, and the community
- Held successful fundraisers, including the spring mulch sale and the Mike Curtis Golf Tournament
- Provided financial support to RM's Post-Prom and Every 15 Minutes
- Helped fund the new gym speakers, scoreboard side panels, wall pads, and stadium speakers
- Promoted sprit-night events at RM
- Funded and presented $750 scholarships to four senior RM student-athletes
- Worked with the SGA to help support "Ritchie Rocket", RM's new mascot
- Paid for plaques showcasing RM athletes, which are displayed in the school
- Funded motivational banners for the gym
- Provided financial support for teams' "senior day" ceremonies
- Provide this website as an information resource for all things Rocket Athletics!
